ABOUT TOM

Tom is an English photographer living in Toronto where he has had the privilege of documenting people’s stories for the past 10 years. Born into a family of photographers and with experience in both the photojournalism (The FT, Cyclist Magazine, Sunday Times) and commercial spaces (New Balance, Vans, Rapha, The Superyacht Group, BMB London) prior to discovering his love of weddings, he is well equipped to approach your celebration with a subtle and yet multifaceted eye. His work is often described as exuding a sense of presence, authenticity and timelessness, which is achieved through a blended approach that utilises his diverse background in photography, use of both analogue and digital formats and of course his eye.

In a world filled with trends, labels, pretence and industry terms, Tom prefers to take each couple and their day as the unique and beautiful thing that it is, one that needs little force and only subtle guidance, tremendous care and more often than not many tears. All he asks is that you forget what is written and instead, focus on what you feel when viewing his (or anyone else’s) photography.

When not behind the camera you’re likely to find Tom with guitar, racquet or dish to hand, running in the hills, spending time with his daughter and wife or planning his next adventure, whether near or far.
